Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has revealed a heart-to-heart conversation he had with coach Carlo Ancelotti at the end of last season.
Ceballos says Ancelotti asked to be forgiven for not playing him as much as expected.
He told AS: “He is a coach who told me to forgive him, because I had not played the minutes I should have played and that honours him.
“The player always wants more and that is what I am looking for."
Asked about a return to Real Betis, the midfielder added: “When we start (preseason) we will see. We'll talk to the coach to see what he wants and from there we'll decide the future."
Ceballos has a deal with Real Madrid to 2023.
