Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has slammed seeing the team finish the third best in the world for last season at the Ballon d'Or awards.
Despite a stellar season in which they won the Champions League and the LaLiga title, Real ended up missing out on the accolade to Manchester City.
Liverpool finished in second, despite Real Madrid having beaten Jurgen Klopp's side in the Champions League final.
Real also overcame City in the semi-finals of the competition, with Kroos left disappointed at the outcome of the award.
Kroos tweeted: "3rd best team in 2021/22 - happy Real Madrid?"
