Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric admits Karim Benzema will be missed.
Benzema left Real Madrid for Al Ittihad last week.
Modric said, "I already said what I think of him, I'm sorry that such an outstanding player is leaving but everyone has their own career path and does what they think is best for them. We thank him for all he has done for Real Madrid and we wish him good luck."
Of talk of interest from Al Hilal, Modric added: "I only have the national team in mind, as for Real Madrid, I've already said everything many times (he wants to stay) and I don't want to repeat myself."
