Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has broken another record.

Modric featured in this week's 2-2 draw at Champions League opponents Bayern Munich.

At 38 years and 234 days, he became the oldest player to play a match in Europe's top competition for Real Madrid, surpassing legend Ferenc Pusks.

Puskas took to the pitch at 38 years and 229 days.

The legendary Hungarian striker made 39 European Cup appearances, scoring 35 goals and winning three titles between 1959 and 1966.
