Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has absolved Gavi of blame for his metatarsal injury.
Tchouameni faces two months out with the foot fracture which came during the El Clasico on Saturday.
However, the Frenchman has told fans not to blame Gavi for the setback. He insists the injury occurred before he clashed with Gavi during the game.
"It's not Gavi's fault. I was injured in the first half," Tchouameni posted to social media.
Real Madrid have announced the fracture will the player sidelined for 6-8 weeks.
