Real Madrid are preparing a move for Sporting CP defender Goncalo Inacio.

Knowing Liverpool and Manchester United are also interested in the Portugal centre-half, Real are exploring the prospect of buying Inacio in January.

With Inacio's contract carrying a 60m buyout clause, Real management are open to triggering the option and bringing him to Spain without the need to negotiate with Sporting.

AS says Real see Inacio as a player to fill the void left by Eder Militao's season-ending ACL injury.

The stopper is tied to Sporting to 2027, having only signed the agreement last summer. The new contract saw his buyout clause jump from 45m to 60m.
