Florentino will remain in Madrid, while Butragueno has flown home after news early this morning of the passing of Real's honorary president Amancio Amaro.
Real legend Amaro only became honorary president this season after the loss of Paco Gento.
As a result, the traditional directors' lunch in Liverpool has been canceled.
Real Madrid have also obtained the go-ahead from UEFA for a minute of silence to be observed before the start of the game in memory of their former player.
