Real Madrid summer signing Arda Guler is set to undergo surgery.
Guler will go under the knife to clean up a problem with his right knee.
The arrival from Fenerbahce suffered a strain during the US preseason tour and there had been hope he'd recover with local rehab.
But it's now been decided he will need an operation to fix the issue.
The 18 year-old is set to miss the first weeks of the new season due to the surgery.
