Real Madrid summer signing Arda Guler has undergone knee surgery.
The former Fenerbahce midfielder,18, is yet to take the pitch for Real and underwent arthroscopy of his right knee yesterday.
The Turk will be about six weeks away from the pitch. The operation went well and if there is no setback he could debut with the Real Madrid at the end of September or the beginning of October.
Since he returned to Spain from Real's US preseason tour, the ailment has been treated and evaluated with different specialists.
Although at first management were going to try to avoid the operating room, something that doctors recommend in players as young as Gler, but which always involves a risk, it was finally decided to go under the knife.
