Real Mallorca have secured Gio Gonzalez to a new deal.
The 29-year-old Uruguayan defender, who arrived from Pearol in January 2021, was due to end his relationship with Real Mallorca at the end of this season.
But he has now signed an agreement to extend his contract until June 2026.
The deal had been in place before the start of the season, though Mallorca have only confirmed it today.
Gonzalez has become a key player in Mallorca coach Javier Aguirre's squad, with an offer from Botafogo being rejected in August.
