Real Sociedad coach Imanol Alguacil admitted relief after their 2-0 Champions League defeat at PSG.

PSG took charge of this round 16 tie via goals from Kylian Mbappe and Bradley Barcola.

Imanol said: "In the second half, more than just this 2-0, I think we could have paid an even bigger price. Therefore, I'm happy with only having let in two goals. If we can play like we did in the first half today at home, then we will have our opportunities. We will be able to stand up, compete and make it really difficult for Paris.

"We gave away the first goal. I think this is something that can't happen in the Champions League against Paris. In such an important tie, defending with one less on a corner. That's where we lose the control of the game. We can't allow that to happen.

I'm proud of us today until we concede that goal. Until then, I think we are playing a really good game. And even if we don't concede that, the result could be the same. But until we gave away that goal, I was really happy and proud. Now we have to be positive and keep dreaming."
