Real Sociedad coach Imanol Alguacil was delighted with their 1-0 win against Valencia last night.
The result guarantees European football for another season as La Real won thanks to Andre Silva's strike.
Imanol later said: "At the beginning of this season we had one goal above all in our heads, that, and I feel very proud, because we have also competed in the three competitions. I thank the players, to whom I put this goal in their veins from beginning of the season, and to the club, because it gave me this opportunity to make history.
"I already told you yesterday, I don't know who doesn't value it (Europe), it's the history of the club, not even the champion team did it, and I haven't done it by prioritizing LaLiga, but by going to the death in the three competitions and that means a lot of wear and tear.
"There is a lot of merit in what these players have done, also to thank the staff, thanks to them I enter the history of the club, you can't imagine how happy it makes me."
Asked if, due to the suffering, he thought that his cycle was ending, Imanol added: "Holy s***! Not at all. How? Now? Not now, I just made history, I want a sixth, when the bad results arrive they will either kick me out or you will kick me out. This achievement gives me a lot of strength."
