Real Sociedad are in advanced talks to secure Martin Zubimendi to a new contract.
Amid talk of the midfielder being targeted by Barcelona as a replacement for captain Sergi Busquets next season, El Diario Vasco says a new deal with La Real is close to being struck.
The two parties are now one meeting away to striking terms.
Everything indicates that the new contract would be until 2027 and it remains to be seen if his buyout clause of €60 million is increased.
