Realme has officially announced their latest smartphone coming to Malaysia, the Realme C100x. This entry level device offers a pretty big battery, along with high levels of durability and a high refresh rate display, packing plenty of nice to have features for a supposedly budget friendly smartphone.

The Chinese manufacturer claims the C100x offers ArmorShell Protection, with reinforced corners and a strengthened mid-frame, along with an IP64 dust and water resistance rating. The phone itself comes in two colourways, Golden Coast and Deepblue Tides, and measures 8.78mm thin and weighs in at 219g.

As for its display, you’ll find a 6.8-inch LCD display, pushing a HD+ resolution with support for up to a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 900nits in high brightness mode and 83% coverage of the NTSC colour gamut. There’s also a layer of Panda MN228 glass over it for scratch resistance.

Under the hood, the Realme C100x is understood to pack a Unisoc T7250 system-on-chip, a 12nm entry level processor, mated to 6GB of LPDDR4X memory and up to 256GB of eMMC5.1 storage. It comes with Android 16 out of the box, and curiously is listed with Realme UI despite having previously announced that they were switching to ColorOS.

On the back, despite how it looks it only has a single main camera listed; a main 50MP, f/1.8 shooter with support for up to 1080p30fps video recording. A 5MP, f/2.2 selfie shooter meanwhile sits up front.
The battery on the Realme C100x though is perhaps why it’ll be appealing to users, with its 8,000mAh battery that they claim will still have 40% left in the tank even after a day of heavy use. It also has support for up to 45W SuperVOOC fast charging, with Realme adding that the battery will be good for up to 7 years of use.

Now curiously, despite announcing its launch in Malaysia, Realme actually hasn’t announced the price of the C100X just yet. Nevertheless, it seems that it will come with a single 256GB configuration priced at RM999, based on some of their partner retailers such as DirectD who have already started collecting pre-orders for the device.
Nevertheless, Realme Malaysia themselves state that the C100x will officially go on sale here on 28 August, so stay tuned for the final pricing and availability details next week.
