With the dissolution of the parliament, the big question right now is which party will the majority of Malaysians vote for in GE15.

I want to stress out that this article is just my own point of view regarding why I think Malaysians will once again choose Mahathir as the next prime minister of Malaysia.

Firstly, the government's move in dissolving the parliament during the flood season is viewed negatively by Malaysians. Words are circulating around that the government is risking its own people’s lives just to have an election as soon as possible.

Secondly, GE15 is going to be held in flood season, which the majority sees as the way for the government to ensure that fewer people will be able to come and vote. Hence, hoping that this will give them a chance for UMNO to win the election.

Thirdly, the winning of UMNO means Najib Razak and other politicians that are facing corruption charges will walk free. This, I view as one of the main reasons UMNO will fail as Malaysians have had enough of Najib Razak and his exploitations of the government. Even as a convict, there is 3.5 million in government money allocated especially for him to renovate his ‘jail’ and for his ‘transportation’.

The fourth reason, Malaysians are just not ready for Anwar to lead the country just yet. Anwar has a big ambition to be Malaysia’s prime minister, but let’s face it. Maybe he really has what it takes to be our prime minister. But the question is will people vote for him? In my point of view, the main reason his party won last time is that the majority of Malaysians want Mahathir to lead the country once again. And since the move of Sheraton, will Malaysians waste their vote on a party that is easily sabotaged by another party?

The next reason is Malaysia are a Muslim country and the majority of Malaysians will not want to legalize same-sex marriage. Pakatan Harapan is currently viewed as the biggest threat for it to happen as they are pro-LGBT.

In conclusion, UMNO committing political suicide by dissolving the parliament during flood season and Pakatan Harapan might just be a waste of votes, (who would want a Sheraton Move 2.0?). The party that is most likely to win PRU-15 is the United Malays Leader Organization, led by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
