
SANDAKAN: A 40-year-old man was fined RM8,000 or 12 months’ jail for reckless driving which resulted in an accident and caused injury to the other driver.
Magistrate Mohammad Azeem Mohd Ridzo handed the sentence to Abd Jukim Sakib who pleaded guilty.
Abd Jukim had committed the offence at 4.15pm on Nov 13, 2023 along Jalan Labuk Batu 11, here.
The court also ordered Abd Jukim’ s conviction to be endorsed on his driving licence.

Read more The court heard that And Jukim’ was driving from Kota Kinabatangan towards Kg Forest Sandakan when he lost control of his vehicle, entered the opposite lane and crashed onto the victim’s vehicle and due to the incident, the victim broke her right thigh.
In another case, a 49-year-old man was fined RM5,000 or six months’ jail also for reckless driving.
Ali Ahmad Ismail had committed the offence at 5.15pm on May 12, 2023 along Jalan Lintas Utara Batu 2, here.
