Red Lobster baits diners with new $12.99 deal — and yes, it involves shrimp

Red Lobster is serving up a new feast – and yes, it includes shrimp and the beloved Cheddar Bay Biscuits.

The chain’s limited-time Feast Four Me! deal lets diners choose two shrimp flavors from five options, plus a side, signature biscuits and a warm brownie sundae for $12.99.

There’s one catch: The deal is only available in Los Angeles and Cleveland, Ohio, according to KTLA. Red Lobster has not announced an end date.

The promotion is part of the seafood chain’s October lineup of deals, which also includes late-night happy hour discounts, a new addition to Endless Shrimp and free kids meals over Halloween weekend.

The deals come as Red Lobster tries to lure diners back with value offers following its 2024 bankruptcy. The chain’s financial troubles intensified after it made its $20 Endless Shrimp deal permanent in 2023, allowing diners to mix and match shrimp dishes and order as much as they wanted for one price.

The promotion went viral, with creators filming themselves eating shrimp for hours, while some restaurants ran out of supplies. The deal cost Red Lobster $11 million on Endless Shrimp in the third quarter of 2023 and another $12.5 million in the fourth quarter, according to court filings. Red Lobster filed for bankruptcy in May 2024 with $692 million in liabilities and closed about 130 restaurants. Costly leases and deeper financial problems also contributed to its collapse.

Closures have continued this year, with the chain shedding 36 locations and shrinking its U.S. footprint by 7 percent to 484 restaurants. Recent shutdowns include a Columbus, Georgia, location that operated for 55 years and its Times Square location, which was open for 23 years.

But now, at participating locations, night owls can take advantage of Red Lobster’s new Late Night Happy Hour, which runs Monday through Friday from 9 p.m. until closing time.

The menu features $6 signature cocktails, wine and beer, along with $2 off select starters, including Seafood-Stuffed Mushrooms, Lobster Flatbread, Crab Queso and Lobster Dip. The late-night deals extend the chain’s regular weekday happy hour, which runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Diners can also try the seasonal Fire & Tide Margarita for $6 during happy hour, with a larger serving available for an additional $3. The cocktail combines Cuervo Tradicional Blanco Tequila and Fireball Whisky.

Red Lobster is also giving its Endless Shrimp lineup a new flavor, adding Old Bay Seasoned Scampi. Endless Shrimp deal lets diners mix and match different shrimp dishes and keep ordering more for one set price during their meal.

Priced at $24.99 at most participating locations, the all-you-can-eat deal lets diners mix and match six shrimp preparations, along with a choice of side and Cheddar Bay Biscuits.

The options are Old Bay Seasoned Scampi, Garlic Bread-Crusted Shrimp, Shrimp Linguini Alfredo, Garlic Shrimp Scampi, Parrot Isle Coconut Shrimp and Walt’s Favorite Shrimp.

Red Lobster is also getting into the spooky spirit with free kids meals over Halloween weekend, but there’s a costume requirement.

From October 30 through November 1, participating restaurants in the U.S. and Canada will offer up to two free kids meals with the purchase of one full-price adult entrée for dine-in customers whose children arrive in costume. Each free meal is worth up to $9.99.

Restaurant staff will determine whether a costume qualifies. Those who prefer to eat at home can place an online To Go order and get one free kids meal with the purchase of a full-price adult entrée by entering promo code SPOOKY26.
