KOTA MARUDU: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah Women’s Chief, Datuk Redonah Bahanda, says she is ready to contest in PRN-17 if selected, marking her first election bid.

Despite this, Redonah, also the Chief Minister’s Political Secretary, has been active in politics since 2002. Previously hesitant, she now embraces leadership responsibilities with confidence.

Speaking at a Gagasan Rakyat Women’s Iftar in Bandau, she stressed the need for strong strategies and voter outreach, with groundwork set to be completed by May. The “Ziarah Sayang” program continues engaging voters beyond election periods.

Redonah, sister to MPs Datuk Verdon and Datuk Wetrom Bahanda, values unity across political divides and urges her party’s women’s wing to uphold compassion in politics.
