In celebration of the PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, Reebok has officially joined forces with Sony’s iconic gaming brand for a nostalgic and stylish collaboration. The result is a limited-edition collection of trainers that pays homage to three decades of gaming excellence while merging the worlds of fashion and technology.

For years, sneaker enthusiasts have associated the PlayStation logo with collaborations alongside Nike and its famous Swoosh. However, this latest partnership marks a refreshing change, as Reebok steps into the spotlight to reimagine some of its most beloved silhouettes through the lens of the gaming console that defined a generation.

The collection features three distinct models — the Pump Omni Zone II, the Workout Plus, and the Instapump Fury — each redesigned with subtle references to PlayStation’s visual identity. Designed around Manabu Sakamoto’s iconic optical illusion logo, the trainers adopt a clean, minimalist aesthetic that perfectly captures the console’s original charm. Each pair showcases a monochrome grey palette, reminiscent of the first PlayStation console, while touches of colour appear in the red, green, yellow, and blue of the PlayStation logo. The beige midsole adds a soft contrast, tying the look together with understated sophistication.

In a thoughtful nod to PlayStation’s global legacy, Reebok has decided to release each model as a country-exclusive drop, with hidden details that reference the console’s historic debut dates. The Pump Omni Zone II will be a United States exclusive, featuring the date September 9, 1995, when the PlayStation first hit North American shelves. The Workout Plus, set to release in the United Kingdom, commemorates September 29, 1995, while the Instapump Fury celebrates the Japanese launch on December 3, 1994. Each pair includes these dates subtly printed on the inside, serving as an Easter egg for both sneaker and gaming enthusiasts alike.

This collaboration is a testament to how gaming culture continues to influence art, design, and lifestyle. Fans can expect the Reebok x PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection to drop in mid-October at select Reebok stockists worldwide.
