
SOOK: The government through the Regional Rural Development Ministry (KKDW) is committed to improving the standards of living and income of rural communities.
Secretary of the Rural Community Division, Che Mohd Zulkifli Ismail, said rural development is an important agenda in ensuring that Malaysia could achieve a developed and high-income country status without sidelining rural people.
Various programmes have been implemented in terms of infrastructure, economy, and human capital development to ensure that rural people can enjoy the benefits of national development alongside urban communities.
“One of KKDW’s initiatives towards the socio-economic development of rural communities is through the implementation of the Youth, Women and Rural Economy Empowerment Programme.
