District Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Officer Ramandeep Kaur informed that the registration process for Phase-III of the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) has commenced. Under the scheme, selected candidates undertaking internships will receive a one-time financial assistance of Rs 9,000 per month.

She said the scheme offers a valuable opportunity for youth to gain practical experience by working with some of the country’s top companies. Candidates applying under the scheme must ensure that their age is between 18 and 25 years. Applicants should not be enrolled in full-time education or engaged in full-time employment at the time of application.

Eligible candidates include those who have completed high school, higher secondary education, ITI, polytechnic or graduation courses such as BA, BSc, BCom, BE/BTech and similar qualifications. However, candidates who have graduated from premier institutions such as IITs, IIMs, IISERs and NLUs, or those possessing professional qualifications like CA, CS, MBBS, MBA or PhD, are not eligible for the scheme.

The District Employment Officer further stated that the annual family income of the applicant should be less than Rs 12 lakh. In addition, no member of the applicant’s family, including self, spouse or parents, should be employed in a government job. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online through the official PM Internship Scheme portal at PM Internship Scheme Portal. Ramandeep Kaur appealed to eligible youth to make maximum use of this opportunity by registering through the portal and benefiting from the scheme.
