Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun is delighted with his start on-loan at Reims.

Balogun has scored five goals in six Ligue 1 games - a performance not achieved by a Rémois since Carlos Bianchi in August-September 1973.

He said, "I don't know the language and I am learning it. For me, it was important to get out of my comfort zone and find a challenge. That's why I'm here.

"I hope it's the right decision and that it will pay off.

"My goal this season? I hope to score 10 goals and make 5 assists. I hope to learn French before leaving. If I manage to do that, I'll mark them up again, but those are my goals."

Reims assistant coach Will Still also says: “Since he arrived, he has been very consistent in what he offers.

"The complementarity of (Junya) Ito and Balogun is very interesting for us. He manages to be decisive.

“He creates chances, he moves well, he participates in the game, he combines well with the players around him. We are very happy to have him, Ito too, we are stronger offensively, we do badly in transitions, he is important for our team."
