As the date for Coldplay’s show in Bukit Jalil gets nearer, fans are eagerly waiting and excited for the show which is scheduled for next week on November 22. However, not everyone is happy with Coldplay’s presence here.

In an official statement released by Majlis Ulama ISMA (MUIS) – a religious department in Perak voiced out against the idea of Coldplay’s concert next week, and they want the show to be cancelled immediately.

This is not the right time, and they’re supporters of LGBT

MUIS stated that due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza which has taken away multiple lives, the idea of having a concert is just not right and all Muslims are urged NOT to attend the show, and reminded the people that Coldplay has been linked to the support of LGBT.

“It is a sin for you to ignore what is happening in Palestine and one day, you will be held questionable for that.”

The organisation also wants the show to be called off as a sign of respect.

“This is to respect the Palestinians who are getting attacked and bombed. The casualties have reached more than 11,000.”

In the meantime, MUIS also urged all parties NOT to avoid their responsibilities in helping the Palestinians, which they can do through prayers, aid, and the spread of awareness.

Aside from Malaysia, Coldplay is also slated to perform in Tokyo, Jakarta, and Perth for their Music of the Spheres World Tour.

Our thoughts and prayers go to the victims of war in Palestine during this tough time, and may the conflict be over soon before more lives are lost.
