
Kota Kinabalu: The Malaysian Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) reminded contractors, particularly in Sabah, to comply with the regulation by ensuring that company are registered as well as their workers accredited.
Sabah CIDB Director Rosmen Ag Hassan said there are five focuses under Act 520 of the Malaysian Construction Industry Development Board that are required to fulfil by contractors.
This comprises Contractor Registration (Section 25), Duty of Contractor (Section 34B(1)), Imposition of Levy (Section 34), Registration of Construction Personnel (Section 33), Accreditation and Certification of Construction Site Supervisor and Skilled Construction Worker (Section 33A(1)) and Dealing with non-certified Construction Materials (Section 33D(1)).
