SANDAKAN: Member of Parliament Vivian Wong urged the State Government and Sabah Water Department to immediately implement a water supply renewal plan to include replacing all old pipelines.

This is to avoid the continued impact on water supply and low water pressure that often occurs in Sandakan and some areas in Sabah which directly affects consumers and business operators, especially those into food and beverages.

“Today (Wednesday) in Sandakan, we received a report from the Sri Harapan Old Folks Home which has run out of water following the interruption to supply to make way for works carried out by the Water Department here.

“Immediately, my team sent a water tanker to meet its urgent needs,” he said.
