Kota Kinabalu: Gerakan Kuasa Rakyat Malaysia (G57) has lodged a police report against the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) led by Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamid over its decision to expand the Madani Village Development Committee (JKDM) to Sabah without the consent of the Sabah Government.
G57 Chairman Datuk Zulkarnain Mahdar said establishing JKDM is an attempt by the Umno President to bully the Sabah government and its people.
“This police report is made as protest against the disrespectful actions of the Umno Minister. If this matter is not dealt with properly, there is a fear that the dispute will spread to the grassroots.
“There are already disputes regarding the overlapping of powers involving the Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) and JKDM,” he said.

Zulkarnaian said although Umno has been in Sabah for a long time, it is now in the opposition.
