Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde has said his first public words after Saturday's clash with Villarreal's Alex Baena.

After Villarreal's 3-2 win at the Santiago Bernabeu, it's reported Valverde confronted Baena at the stadium's bus station and struck him in the face. Baena has since filed a complaint to the police.

Valverde was intercepted at Valdebebas by reporters from La Sexta on Sunday.

When asked if he would like to comment on the incident, he replied as follows: "No, no. I'm sorry."
