A briefing on the Iran conflict at the White House ended without a decision from President Donald Trump on Friday, according to media reports.

Trump left the meeting in the Situation Room after two hours, the New York Times reported, citing a US official. Trump had previously announced he would make a "final determination" on the negotiations with Iran.

The meeting took place in the Situation Room, a command centre in the White House where the US president traditionally meets representatives from the security, military and intelligence services.

Intense negotiations on a framework agreement between the US and Iran have been ongoing for days. According to reports, an agreement is imminent.

However, it remains unclear whether Trump will agree to it. Confirmation from the Iranian leadership is also pending.
