WITH Resident Evil Village going live on the Apple App Store, users of the latest iPhones and iPads can now test whether they can play the PC game on their devices.

Apple debuted the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Max and iPads with a M1 or M2 processor almost two months ago with news that the devices would be strong enough to play several current-generation console and PC games.

Users of the new devices can download Resident Evil Village to play a fraction of the game for free. This is what theSun recommends for new Apple users.

Play the free “trial” and see how it works for you, and if you like it, purchase the base game for RM65 through the game’s in-app purchase. The Winters’ Experience expansion is also available for an additional RM40.

The reason we are recommending trying the trial first is due to the game’s touchscreen controls, which are a bit more of a nightmare than the control layout for other mobile games.

For a better gameplay experience, it is recommended to play the game using Bluetooth controllers, as the game supports the feature while the keyboard and mouse are not.

Other than the minor inconvenience of its native touchscreen controls, the game is remarkable on the iPhone, running at a stable 30 frames per second and pointing towards Apple’s resolute aim of turning its devices into gaming platforms.
