Kota Kinabalu: Residents of Signal Hill Park have urged the relevant authorities to address worsening road conditions, dust and noise pollution allegedly caused by the increasing movement of heavy trucks along the main road in front of their residential area.
In a post shared on social media recently, the residents said the constant movement of heavy vehicles, both day and night, had contributed to road deterioration and excessive dust and noise.
They claimed the dust was affecting their health and daily lives, while the noise from heavy trucks, particularly at night, was disrupting their rest and peace.
The residents called for repairs and improvements to the damaged road, measures to control dust and noise pollution, and regulation of heavy truck movements, especially at night, including consideration of alternative routes.
They stressed that they were not against development or commercial activities but wanted a safe, healthy and peaceful living environment, urging the authorities to take concrete action before the situation worsened.
