LABUAN: The Labuan Chinese Chamber of Commerce (LCCC) said the best quick fix for the island’s economy needs is the restoration of its special privileges, namely duty-free cigarettes.
Its Chairman Datuk Wong Kii Yii said such a measure would produce an immediate revival of the economy.
“It only needs the stroke of the pen, while implementing plans under the Labuan Economic Blueprint 2030 will take time and involve bureaucracy, with uncertain results,” he said.
