MALAYSIANS can expect stability at the pumps as the Ministry of Finance announces that retail prices for all major petroleum products will remain unchanged from 1 January to 7 January 2026.

Under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula, Subsidised RON95 petrol under the BUDI95 programme will also stay at RM1.99 per litre. Diesel prices are maintained at RM2.94 per litre in Peninsular Malaysia, and at RM2.15 per litre in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan.

“The Government will continue to monitor global oil price trends and take appropriate measures to safeguard the welfare and well-being of the people,” the Ministry of Finance stated.

The weekly announcement reflects the government’s ongoing effort to ensure price stability for consumers while adjusting to fluctuations in global oil markets. - December 31, 2025
