Enock Mwepu says he intends to remain in football after being forced into retirement.
The Zambia international and Brighton midfielder announced his retirement due to heart concerns.
The 24 year-old stated: "Some dreams come to an end, so it is with sadness that I have to announce that I have to hang up my boots due to a medical assessment.
"However, that will not be the end of my involvement with football. I plan to stay in the sport.
"I would like to use this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported me in my football career. It also includes my wife, family, my agent, the Zambia Football Association, all former teammates, coaches and clubs. Especially everyone at Brighton."
