
KENINGAU: Retired teachers and education officers now have a new platform to unite through the Persatuan Mantan Pendidik Sabah (PMPS).
Its President Aslie Sahat said the association was officially registered with the Registrar of Societies on Dec 7 last year.
"In conjunction with this, we have held our council briefing ceremony for the first time before we expand our wings,” he said after chairing the event at the Pexoholic Event Space, Bandar Baharu Keningau on Tuesday.
It was attended by retired teachers from Tambunan, Tenom, and Keningau.

Read more In his briefing, Aslie said the PMPS is an association of retired teachers in Sabah.
He appealed to all retired teachers in the State to support and become members of the association.
He said the association would establish liaison committees in every district of the State. Also present were Deputy President Alli Majittaba, Secretary-General Md Yussof Mattaim, Treasurer-General AK Jiar Pg Duraman, Executive Committee member Hussin Basir and Chairman of the PMPS Keningau District Liaison Committee Yazid Mohd Hasnan Tawik @Charles.
