Chelsea accepted an offer from Nottingham Forest for Trevoh Chalobah on deadline day on Friday.
The Nottingham Post says Forest had a 25m bid accepted by Chelsea, but Chalobah turned down the move.
Although there was an agreement between clubs, Chalobah "appreciated the effort" but rejected the move
He had hoped to join Bayern Munich, but their loan proposal was turned down by Chelsea.
The Blues had insisted Chalobah would only leave for a straight sale.
