Liverpool and Chelsea made attempts for Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo last season, it has been revealed.
Araujo proved the matchwinner at Real Sociedad yesterday.
Last April he signed a new deal until the summer of 2026.
In connection with the contract extension, he also snubbed approaches from Chelsea and Liverpool, reports Sport.
The centre-back also attracted enquires from Manchester United over the summer.
