Girona coach Michel is being backed to succeed Pep Guardiola at Manchester City
Michel has Girona top of the LaLiga table, with the Catalans coming under the umbrella of the City Football Group.
Speaking on Cadena SER, local reporter Bruno Alemany said: This suggests that several players and the coach will soon fly. We'll see what happens. Mchel is a great coach and optimizes the players in a way that others are not capable of.
"At the moment Mchel has done better than Xavi. If Guardiola in June said 'that's it, I can't take it anymore'... Manchester City would consider Mchel's option, for sure."
Sique Rodrguez also said on the show: We interviewed Ferrn Soriano on SER and he told us that Mchel was a very, very valued coach within the City group."
And Santi Gimnez stated: And it seems that Guardiola and Mchel are very friends. They met one day, they had one of Pep's meals like the one he had with Bielsa, they sat down to eat at 1:00 p.m. and got up at 12:00 p.m."
