Manchester United's scouts do not share the opinion of manager Erik ten Hag on Lisandro Martinez.
The big money defensive signing has struggled at United in his first two matches.
Martinez, who played for ten Hag at Ajax, was targeted by both Brighton and Bournemouth in successive Premier League losses.
According to The Athletic, United's recruitment department felt that Pau Torres of Villarreal may have been a better signing.
However, ten Hag was insistent on signing Martinez, as he is left-footed, aggressive, and very good on the ball.
His height, however, is becoming an issue in the Premier League.
