Arsenal refused Bukayo Saka's request to include a buyout clause in his new deal.

Saka signed a new deal to 2027 this week, with his wages almost trebling to rising terms of 300,000-a-week.

The Daily Mail says Saka wanted a buyout clause added to the new arrangement.

However, Arsenal refused the request and instead a compromise was reached over a shorter than expected contract.

Instead, Saka will be able to consider his options in two years' time should his development trajectory continue.
