In the meticulous 'Op Bersepadu' operation conducted by the Melaka Road Transport Department (JPJ) along the AMJ expressway near Paya Rumput, a total of 275 summonses were issued, accompanied by the seizure of three vehicles. This crackdown aimed at curbing various offences on the roads, bringing attention to common violations like expired Motor Vehicle Licences and lack of insurance, which accounted for 142 summonses. Additionally, 73 summonses were handed out for driving without a licence, 21 for technical infractions, and 20 for miscellaneous offences.

During the operation, 755 vehicles underwent scrutiny, resulting in punitive actions against 132 vehicles across different categories. Private vehicles bore the brunt with 118 cases, while goods vehicles and public service vehicles accounted for 13 and one case, respectively. The collaborative effort involved a well-coordinated team comprising 50 JPJ officers and members, eight personnel from the Royal Malaysia Police Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT), 18 from the Immigration Department, and 10 from the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK).

The comprehensive approach of 'Op Bersepadu' extended beyond summonses and vehicle seizures. It specifically targeted motorcycles, foreign drivers (PeWA), goods vehicles, and public service vehicles, emphasizing the overarching goals of compliance and road safety. The operation not only focused on penalizing violations but also aimed at raising awareness among motorists, especially those engaging in behaviours related to unauthorized technical safety specifications and dangerous driving, which could lead to accidents.

Muhammad Firdaus Shariff, the director of JPJ, reiterated the ongoing commitment of the department to enhancing efforts through continuous enforcement operations. The overarching objective is to educate the public, particularly road users, urging them to consistently adhere to rules and behave responsibly, thereby minimizing risks and negligence on the road. He underscored that enforcement actions would persist, especially against motorists driving without a valid licence. The strategic collaboration with various agencies signifies a united front in instilling awareness and creating a safer road environment for all.
