
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini virtually inaugurated nine Health Department projects worth Rs 105 crore from Panchkula to provide better healthcare services to residents of the state. Health Minister Arti Singh Rao and Women and Child Development Minister Shruti Chaudhary were also present.
The Chief Minister dedicated the newly constructed state-of-the-art dialysis unit at Maharishi Chyavan Government Medical College and Rao Tula Ram Hospital, Koriawas (Narnaul), in Mahendragarh district, to the public.
He said that with the establishment of this modern dialysis unit, kidney patients from Mahendragarh district and nearby areas would no longer need to travel to Delhi, Jaipur or Gurugram for dialysis treatment.
Director of the institute, Dr Brijender Singh Dhillon, said advanced machines and expert staff had been deployed at the dialysis unit to ensure that patients do not face any inconvenience.
A ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Clinic’ and a tele-ECG facility were also launched at the District Civil Hospital in Narnaul.
To strengthen healthcare infrastructure in rural areas, newly constructed health sub-centres at Tigra, Bihali, Bajad, Sihor and Syana villages were dedicated to the public. The foundation stone of an Amrit Pharmacy store was also laid.
Narnaul MLA Om Prakash Yadav was the chief guest at the inaugural event held at the local Civil Hospital. He said the launch of these public welfare projects would significantly strengthen the healthcare system.
Mahendragarh ADC Tarun Kumar Pawaria, CMO Dr Ashok Kumar, Director of Maharishi Chyavan Government Medical College Dr Brijender Singh Dhillon and Municipal Council Chairperson Kamlesh Saini were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Rewari also got an Amrit Pharmacy, a Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Clinic and a tele-ECG facility, which were inaugurated by Bawal MLA Dr Krishan Kumar at a local event. Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma joined the programme virtually.
Rewari ADC Rahul Modi, BJP district president Dr Vandana Popli, Civil Surgeon-cum-Chief Medical Officer Dr Narender Dahiya and other government officials were present.
Addressing the gathering, MP Rekha Sharma expressed happiness over the establishment of special clinics at district hospitals to address women’s health issues.
The Bawal MLA said patients would now be able to get branded medicines at affordable prices from the Amrit Pharmacy. He added that primary health centres would also have ECG facilities, and ECG reports would be sent instantly to cardiologists so that treatment could begin immediately, if required.
