Kota Kinabalu: Sabah FC will resume their AFC Cup campaign trail by taking on Vietnam’s Haiphong FC in an away game tomorrow (October 25) night at the 30,000 seater Lach Tray Stadium.
It will not be an easy task as our opponents are one of the top teams in V.League , having won the titles 10 times and were runners-up last season.
They started this season’s AFC Cup campaign with a 3-0 home win over PSM Makasar of Indonesia but suffered a 1-2 away loss to Singapore’s Hougang United FC in the second match.
They are currently lying second behind Sabah FC in group H with three points, while we have the maximum six points from the 3-1 victory over Hougang United at home and the 5-0 thrashing of PSM Makasar away from home.
