Kota Kinabalu: Sabah FC ran riot with a 6-1 thumping win over Kelantan FC in the Super League clash at Likas Stadium on Wednesday night.
The home side took only four minutes to go one-up with left-back Daniel Ting combining well with Ko Kwang Min to score the opener.
The latter then delivered another pinpoint cross in the 11th minute for Daniel to head in the second for Sabah FC to take a 2-0 lead at half time.
The restart saw a stunning strike from Kelantan FC’s Miguel Cifuentes reduce the deficit in the 46th minute, but Sabah FC’s response was swift and Dominic Tan scored with a close range strike two minutes later.

The big win was a relief for Sabah FC head coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee after the team could only manage one point in their previous three league matches.
He said it was a good performance from the team and happy the players managed to grab the goal-scoring opportunities.
“It was a pretty good performance and the players were able to take their chances well.
“What is important is that we got the three points and we also got to keep our unbeaten record in Likas.
“We must ensure that this momentum is maintained in the upcoming matches. At the same time we need to improve on our away form after the two losses followed by a draw in our first three away matches,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Rhinos are currently fourth with 17 points and they will next meet second placed Selangor FC at Likas Stadium on April 27.
