It’s been a while since we’ve heard about food being sold for ridiculously high prices, and here’s another one to add to the list.

Recently, a Malaysian was left stunned when a plate of colek he ordered ended up costing him a hefty sum of RM71.

Colek is a popular delicacy from Kelantan, serving not only as a dipping sauce but also as a tasty snack. It is something similar to rojak and comes in different varieties like fruit and meaty colek.

Sharing through his X account, @suns8t, he revealed that he was shocked by the pricing of a plate of colek he recently dined in for.

According to the OP, the colek plate he ordered included one squid, three sausages, and just six pieces of ‘lekor‘. The hefty price also covers the two drinks that accompany the dish.

He also commented, mentioning that he was aware of the price listing, but he was taken aback after seeing the final price.

However, the OP didn’t disclose the restaurant or the location of the place where he had the colek.
