Rino Gattuso has released a statement after splitting with Valencia yesterday.
Gattuso and Valencia agreed to mutually terminate his stay after defeat to Real Valladolid.
The Italian said: "Thanks to the fans who are incredible because they have always filled Mestalla.
"I'm sorry for what happened but that's life. I wish Voro good luck because he has a very difficult job ahead of him but he has very brave players.
"We have decided to go in this direction with calm and respect. This is a very big club and an incredible city."
