The political stalemate of Malaysia's 15th General Election, GE15 has proven how vexing it is when a nation divides as too many blame games and angry remarks rise by social media users, which could lead to further division of the nation.

According to World of Buzz, some TikTok users claim a repeat of may 13 would occur once Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim will be elected as Malaysia’s 10th Prime Minister, with captions welcoming the declaration of war.

Such news is exacerbated when a previous DAP supporter, known as Hew Kuan Yew, or better known as Superman Hew, makes a seditious comment on his speech.

According to Free Malaysia Today (FMT), Hew's stated that the Chinese community should take advantage of Malay disunity, and the video went viral last week.

It is safe to say, such comments are deemed to have elements that could threaten public order and it sure does not help the Chinese and DAP image at all.

NEWSFLASH!  RACIAL SENTIMENT IS NOT FUNNY.

Malaysian netizens are outraged by the rise of racist proclamations, as shown by TikTok user, Coach Shariman in his video, questioning some parties for sowing the seed of hatred and racism without considering how the youth would perceive their message, as videos of youngster sharpening daggers and machetes, in preparation of war.

“I hope these party to settle these issues for instilling hateful doctrine into these youngsters during the election campaign and not letting them stay in their hatred,” says Coach Shariman.

The issue also causes 1 Malaysia song to trend on TikTok as users call for unity in Malaysia.

While some might make a sad meme video using the audio, TikTok user, @ainarf_ raised the question if we still remember the lyric of  ‘1 Bangsa, 1 Negara, 1 Malaysia’ that we are proud of all over the world, as she asks if we are still the same due to Malaysian being critically racist in this election.

“Are we still brother and sister, Malay, Chinese, Indian, and others?” says @ainarf_.

Another user, @2budakbiasa._ also pondering what will happen to our nation, using the latest Merdeka video, where the whole nation celebrates the day in unity and shows our support to the nation while thirsting over ‘Abang Bomba’ and the canine units.

According to the video, @budakbiasa._ acknowledge that while Malaysian may have differing opinions on political party, it was not necessary to talk badly about other races in an effort to ensure the opponent falls.

“I swear, it is saddening to see Malaysia like this after the election.” says @budakbiasa._.

“Are we forgetting how peaceful and united we are, celebrating the occasion, crossing generations and races, from the kids to the elderly, Malay, Chinese, Indian, all stand together? Did you forget that?.’ add @budakbiasa._.

Video of the social experiment “How united Malaysian unity is?” that was posted 4 years ago make a comeback in TikTok as netizens commented how they missed those times, where Malaysian united.

A video posted by @qadiakhalediaa, saying how she missed the times of 1 Malaysia movement founder, Dato’ Seri Najib Razak also garner netizen attention, as they missed the unity that we had during those times.

While we can’t deny Najib Razak may be one of Malaysian most scandalous Prime Ministers, we also cannot deny his attributes of closing the racial division, probably from Malaysian frustration with his and his cabinet's corruption.

Regardless of our choices, may Malaysia's future be brighter with what has to come.
