PAGALUNGAN: The Pagalungan Native Court (MAN) recommended that the Sepulut-Pagalungan road construction company hold a prayer ritual for safety according to customs following several accidents involving workers including three that claimed three lives.
Mukim Pagalungan Native Chief (KAN) Ridhwan Angayas said MAN in Pagalungan had recommended this matter to the company to take note.
He said lorry driver Rosli Paling (Murut) lost control and crashed on the slopes of Salirungun Hill and died at the scene on October 21, 2021.
The second victim was Turayoh Sampuhon (Murut), a bulldozer operator (Hitachi) who was killed when it overturned and fell approximately 50 metres on Dec 14, 2023.
