Paris Saint-Germain vs Chelsea: Early team news, how to watch on TV and stream online
Chelsea face a familiar opponent in the Champions League round of 16 when they travel to Paris for the first leg against PSG on Wednesday.
The Blues last met PSG in the Club World Cup final last summer, where they came out on top with a 3-0 win, showing they’re more than capable of handling Luis Enrique’s team.
That wasn’t their first meeting though, as these sides have crossed paths before that. PSG and Chelsea have played each other three times in total.
Head-to-Head Even Between Chelsea and PSG

According to Transfermarkt, the two sides have played each other nine times before next week’s fixture. Chelsea won their most recent meeting, a Club World Cup final, but PSG came out on top in the two games before that.
Overall, the record is split evenly: three wins each and three draws. The upcoming tie could see one team finally move ahead in the head-to-head standings.
Chelsea will be feeling confident, especially with Joao Pedro in such good form. He scored again in Saturday’s 4-2 FA Cup win over Wrexham, bringing his tally to 18 goals for the season.
Alan Shearer highlighted two of his strengths after that performance. Having already found the net against PSG before, Pedro is definitely someone Luis Enrique’s side will need to keep an eye on.
Prediction for the first leg
PSG will fancy their chances at home, especially since Chelsea are coming off a 120-minute cup tie against a physical Wrexham side. Luis Enrique’s team had the benefit of rest, while Liam Rosenior still needed to use players like Joao Pedro and Marc Cucurella, something he would have preferred to avoid.
PSG already hold an advantage playing at the Parc des Princes and should be able to take full advantage of it. But even if they do win, a lot can change in the return leg at Stamford Bridge.
