River Plate vice-president Ignacio Villarroel admits they're interested in Iker Muniain.
The midfielder is leaving Athletic Bilbao at the end of the season and keen on a move to River.
Villarroel said, He is a player of the highest level, who has already shown his love for the club by escaping from the training camp the night before an Athletic match to go to the Bernabeu to watch the final of the Libertadores.
A player of his stature is never ruled out.
"The market is still to open, it open on June 1st, so there is no rush."
