There is nothing like hearing the V6 engine roar as they pass through right in front of your eyes, the cheering fans, and the electric atmosphere. It is a dream of every Formula 1 fan to witness it once in their life, but is it worth the hype or the money?
Formula 1 is widely regarded as one of the most expensive sporting events; thus, it isn’t surprising to know that the tickets to attend these events come with a hefty price tag. Average ticket price ranging from RM 860 (Chinese GP) to RM 7000 (Las Vegas GP) for a 3-day ticket.
Though not all options are financially accessible, is it worth breaking the bank? Or just a cleverly marketed sport tailored to the wealthy elite. To understand and experience the situation first-hand, I attended the Qatar GP 2024.

The night race was held at the Lusail International Circuit, a modern circuit situated just outside the vibrant city of North Doha. I sat at the main grandstand as I witnessed the roar of the V6 engine as it passed by in the blink of an eye.
Each lap made everyone in the grandstand sit on the edge of our seats while holding our breaths with anticipation and excitement. It was an unforgettable night filled with fireworks, champagne showers, and roaring celebrations. But was it worth the GBP 560 (RM 3175) ticket price?
In my perception, if you are a hardcore Formula 1 fan, witnessing it live should be something to cross off your bucket list. Even with the hefty price tag that comes along with it, the tension of watching your favourite driver trying to overtake in Turn 1 is an everlasting experience. Just remember that once you witness it at the grandstand, watching it on television will never be the same.
